Out to catch the sunrise….

Very very early morning scenes from the bicycle paths along the river around Shilin, Taipei these last few weeks….  highly recommended form of exercise – it’s flat after all – and the views are great!  Taipei is hot and muggy with not much moving air, temps of 37.2 recorded at midday last Thursday, so early early morning is the coolest time to get out and about!

My father had a wonderful 80th birthday on August 18th with a family gathering of children and grandchildren; I was here in Taiwan, but saw the photos ~ looks like everyone had a great time!

Next big event, Thanksgiving Service on August 24 to celebrate Bishop Lai’s 10th anniversary as diocesan bishop…..
