Trinity Church, Keelung welcomes us for Diocese of Taiwan annual convention!

A non-stop 2 days!  And Trinity Church, Keelung hosted us with THE most amazing hospitality, it was wonderful!

Started with the opening service in the newly remodelled church, at which Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori preached and later gave the blessing.

Then off to the neighbouring restaurant for the start of the synod.  First came lunch and we were well-entertained by the incredible worship group of blind singers who shared their faith and their songs with us.

After that formal proceedings started, while Presiding Bishop got ready for leaving on that night’s flight, and her husband Richard went off with our clergy spouses for a tea party and sharing time together.

We all stayed overnight at the hotel with an amazing view of a foggy Keelung Harbour.  See the navy guys on board doing their early morning exercises.  A Cruise ship even managed to arrive while we were having breakfast, good timing eh?
