Taipei Metro is known as the MRT ~ and there’s no doubt it’s a wonderful system, clean, efficient and it never breaks down!
The MRT map is a work of art and the MRT stations are beautifully designed in traditional style…
Don’t know why most of the trains are a boring grey colour, but most look like this…..
So the few that are covered in advertising really cheer Taipei City up on a boring grey day ~ these are some I’ve caught on camera in the last few weeks, but they are few and far between I can tell you!
The piece de resistance must be the signs found in and around the MRT, I just love this one!
James 3: 17 “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.’
Yeilding to others on the MRT is a constant challenge ~ those ancients who look like they should qualify for a special seat often don’t like to admit it and so insist on standing; while those who are really strong and healthy but accompanied by doting grandparents or parents get to sit down instead…. always interesting to watch HA!
