Double Nines to the Rescue!

No textbooks, no tests, no pressure ~ ‘Relaxed English’ is the name of the game, and while the students may have no pressure, it’s my job to find activities to keep students happy, entertained and hopefully with some English to show for it ha ha!

Hence our Tuesday evening class, and last night we had 13 students all crowded into my house, 6 girls and 7 boys….

We played dominoes, apparently a new game for everyone – double nines too, so there were some big numbers!

Each pair of students played their dominoes – then counted up the score, and drew a card – and they had to come up with that number of related words, so if the score was 24 for example, and the card said ‘Countries’, they had to come up with 24 countries – it was fun, and actually everybody helped each other, so it was a very nice atmosphere…

And of course tea and biscuits, and other dominoes games and even my Russian doll with 10 smaller ones inside…

A fun evening!
