Romantic Weekend Getaway?!

Yep, our Boston visitors, Maura and Tom’s first wedding anniversary yesterday – and here they are, celebrating with us in Taipei!

Temperatures 36°C most of the weekend, phew…

High-School student Jenny volunteered to come with me –  a great help for taking photos, translating long menus, bargaining down prices and… well, generally everything!

Friday to National Palace Museum, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial and tea-drinking with Bishop Lai…

Friday evening in Tamsui.. (note the bowls of local delicacies, A-gei and Fish Ball Soup – Maura and Tom were willing to try everything!)

Ah, their first wedding anniversary….  and for THE romantic dinner, the 4 of us had oyster omelettes and noodles at Shilin Night Market – along with zillions of others lol!

You were a wonderful angel to Maura and Tom. I am sure that they had a good time on the first Wedding Anniversary in Taiwan.I enjoyed all of the nice photos. You really spent your time very efficiently and joyfully in the love of Christ with them on the last week-end in Taipei! Tom and Maura were very fortunate to have such a good friend in Taiwan. You have become their “Guei-Ren” (貴人 is similar as the angel in English) and a good friend to them
in Taiwan. Thank you for reminding me to look at your marvelous blog!
