A blue Christmas?

Spare a thought for those of us living in countries where this is just another normal working week….

and thank God for the wonderful opportunities it gives us to share the message of Christmas with everyone around us!

However, true to form, it’s raining cats and dogs out there, ah the reality of winter in Tamsui, groan – and brrrrr – a very cold wind, whoopee!

And right now we’re preparing our umbrellas and wellies for our Christmas walkabout tonight – all around the SJU campus to wish all the students in the dormitories a Merry Christmas!

Today has appeared one of our students with a beautiful home-decorated umbrella – she’s covered the original silver colour with blue lacquer paint….  How’s that for creativity? Looks like normal on the outside, but the inside is such a surprise – she’s even signed it with ‘St. John’s University’ and the cross on Advent Church….

Hey if there’s no real blue sky in sight, just make some up!   A blue Christmas indeed!

Hi Catherine! I just stumbled across your blog while I was looking for Christmas services in Taichung for a friend. Love your blog. Looks like you are doing really well up in Taipei. I’m still in Taiwan. Sorry I don’t keep in touch (I’m awful at it with everyone). Glad you are doing good. Hope you have a very happy Christmas. Best wishes for 2014. Rosie
